THE ARGENTINE GIANT

This cactus we discovered just a half mile from our house. It starts out as a 4 or 5 inch tight red bud. The first ones we saw on Saturday afternoon. Sunday early afternoon they had not changed much then at 6:pm they were starting to open. By Monday morning they were full beautiful white blooms and by Monday evening they were starting to wither. By tomorrow they will turn dark and fall to the ground, much like a hand full of feathers. Isn't nature wonderful?

It's so nice that you found it before it bloomed :)

That's beautiful. Great pictures! When we lived in Flaming Gorge there was a huge cactus growing in some rocks that had beautiful blooms every year. It's so fun to find something like that.
